The Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) has placed its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on precautionary suspension with full pay pending an investigation into allegations of misconduct. The suspension of the CEO is with effect from Friday, 11 June 2021.
The precautionary suspension of the CEO is to maintain the integrity of the Council whilst investigations are conducted.
Once the recommendations of the final report are concluded, Council will consider them and make its final decision.
In the interim, Mr Gerald Boitumelo Mokgoro has been appointed as Acting CEO to take over the day-to-day operations of ECSA with immediate effect.
The Council and management team of ECSA are committed to ensuring business continuity that underpins continuous performance of the organisation.
