Wacker Neuson is on the move!

18 November 2019

Wacker Neuson is proud to announce that its
Johannesburg head office will soon be operating from a brand new facility while
the Cape Town and Durban branches, along with their dealers, are moving under
one roof.

This move stems from the company’s pleasing
growth over the past fiscal year, coupled with an optimistic future vision and
a commitment to invest in South Africa. Dennis Vietze, MD of Wacker Neuson Sub-Saharan Africa,
attributes this success to an aggressive dealer strategy as well as to dedicated
staff.

“It is our mandate to maintain our position as
an industry leader, grow faster than the market and, through our core products,
become one of the top equipment suppliers,” states Vietze. In line with this
growth mind-set, Wacker Neuson has made a substantial investment in new
premises for its head office as well as its Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal branches,
in cooperation with the dealers in these respective territories.

“The centralised location of our new head office
in Johannesburg near the airport positions us close to our customers, the
market and our competitors,” affirms Vietze. This new facility will enhance
Wacker Neuson’s visibility and ensure easier accessibility for customers and
suppliers.

Vietze says that the Cape Town and Durban
branches sharing premises with the dealers is a win-win situation for all
stakeholders. End users will benefit from quick access to the Wacker Neuson
brand, timeous after-sales service and quick turn-around times on delivery with
subsequent reduced transportation costs.

Wacker Neuson has partnered with thirteen
dealers in South and Sub-Saharan Africa and is expanding its footprint through
a hybrid sales model. Dealers will be established as sales and service partners
in regions such as Mpumalanga, Gauteng and North-West that are currently being
serviced directly by Wacker Neuson (Pty) Ltd.

As this dealer expansion strategy continues rolling
out, end user business will be handed over to Wacker Neuson dealers whilst the
plant hire industry and certain key-account customers will be directly served
by all South African Wacker Neuson branches. The company is looking at dealer
partnerships in Ethiopia, Kenya, and Tanzania, as well as in Mauritius.
