The cement industry is moving increasingly towards the use of alternative fuels for the complete decarbonization of cement and concrete. It raises questions about safety and handling new fuels and materials.
Fires are especially common in factories with an increased concentration of combustive materials, volatile substances, and equipment. Raúl Moreno, Director at Firefly Ab, the Swedish company that provides industrial fire prevention and protection systems to the process industry worldwide, will approach this topic at CarbonZero: Alternative Fuels and Raw Materials 2022, on November 10-11.
Raúl Moreno graduated from the National Polytechnic Institute of Mexico with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering and years later obtained an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management. Within Firefly AB he has been responsible for the development of the Latin America, Spain, and Portugal division since 2011, for which a local commercial and technical customer service network has been created. Mr. Moreno also leads an internal Firefly team for the development of new applications and technologies designed specifically for customers in the alternative fuels manufacturing, handling, and storage industry.
Raúl Moreno: “I’m very pleased to participate in CarbonZero Global Conference and Exhibition: Alternative Fuels and Raw Materials next month in Lisbon. It is already creating great expectations in the Alternative Fuels community due to the innovative format selected and highly relevant topics in the agenda.”
Beatrice Ene, Managing Director of Industry Link: “For more than 50 years, Firefly has specialized in creating customized system solutions of the highest technical standards and quality. We warmly welcome Raúl Moreno and Firefly AB to our unique event in this field that will take place at Pestana Palace Hotel & National Monument in Lisbon. Top experts will present the latest developments and challenges in product manufacturing and technology applications. They will focus on the circular use of resources, demonstrating the best and the most cost-effective solutions to help shape the industry for the future. Let’s decarbonize the industry together!”
